100 TÁC PHẨM VĂN HỌC HAY

Tháng 5-2002, Câu lạc bộ sách Na Uy (CNL) đề nghị 100 nhà văn thuộc 54 nước trên thế giới thực hiện một nhiệm vụ tế nhị: mỗi nhà văn độc lập chọn ra 10 tác phẩm văn học mà mình đánh giá là hay nhất. 

Danh sách của CNL được xem là sự tổng hòa của các nền văn hóa, các phong cách và các thể loại sáng tác. Ngoại trừ Don Quichotte của Cervantes (Tây Ban Nha) được đánh giá là tác phẩm văn học xuất sắc nhất mọi thời đại, 99 tác phẩm còn lại không xếp vị thứ.

Tính theo quốc gia, Anh (15), Pháp (11), Mỹ (10), Nga (9), Ý (7), reland (6), Đức, Hi Lạp (5), Ấn Độ (3), Trung Quốc, Colombia, Tây Ban Nha, Iran, Iceland, Nhật Bản, Na Uy, Bồ Đào Nha và CH Czech (2), Áo, Brazil, Đan Mạch, Ai Cập, Israel, Mexico, Nigeria, Romania, Sudan và Thụy Điển (1). Nghìn lẻ một đêm

được tính là tác phẩm chung của Ấn Độ, Iran, Iraq và Ai Cập.
